The Officers of the Model UN Team are students elected by the team at the end of each academic year to organize and lead the next team in conferences and competitions.
President: Joli McSherry (4th year)
Joli is a senior double majoring in Government and History, and is a four-year veteran of the team. After she graduates this May, she looks forward to pursuing her interest in academia and continuing on to grad school–be it for International Studies or Public Affairs. Outside of MUN, Joli loves to make music and befriend every animal she meets.
Vice-President: Micaela de la Rosa (3rd year)
Micaela is a proud attendee of her hometown university, double majoring in Government and Spanish with a minor in Anthropology. She hopes to go on to obtain a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy, and ultimately hopes to work as a public health policy analyst. She loves rainy days, all things education and public policy, spicy food, making new friends, old ballads, and social justice projects (though not necessarily in that order).
Secretary: Marcus Sanchez (3rd year)
Marcus is a junior pursuing a double-major in criminal justice and government. He enjoys playing the piano, spending time with his two huskie-golden retriever mixes, and making bad puns out of any material he can find. Marcus hopes to work in either child abuse investigation or the foreign service after graduation.
Treasurer: Linda Cisneros (2nd year)
Linda Cisneros is a junior majoring in Government with a minor in Communications. She is currently the treasurer of NMSU’s award-winning Model United Nations team. Once she completes her education at New Mexico State University, she is determined to pursue a career as a public servant.
